Riverside Place

Cusp are redeveloping the existing ‘K’-Village factory outlet site, located on the bank of the River Kent.

Summer 2010 will see the completion of CUSP's  major £100m regeneration and redevelopment programme which will create a unique state-of-the-art destination shopping and leisure complex in the heart of the UK's second largest tourism market.  With its strategic location at the gateway to the Lake District, which welcomes over 16 million visitors annually, K Village will play a significant role in attracting even more footfall to Kendal and its surroundings.

Scheduled to open at the end of June 2010, K Village is a mixed-use development of over 300,000 sq ft comprising a premium factory outlet centre, restaurants and cafes, over 400 underground car parking spaces, tourist facilities, a Heritage Centre, 15,000 sq ft of offices and 90 luxury riverside apartments.

The retail offering will include a comprehensive mix of tenants with an anchor store of 11,000 sq ft taken by Clarks shoes.  They will be joined by Staccato, the well established luxury shoe brand; All Wellan Good with its exciting range of high-end cosmetic and beauty products; stationery and art product specialists The Works; Mountain Warehouse, the well known outdoor clothing and equipment retailer; Bedeck, the homeworks and bedding company; Bags etc, leading supplier of luggage, handbags and fashion accessories and Denby the UK's premier tableware brand.  The National Trust Gift Shop, Double Two and Klass will also be taking units.

Also new to the Centre will be Julian Graves, the UK's largest independent specialist natural food and ingredients retailer and the nation's favourite chocolate manufacturer Cadbury will also be taking a unit.  Costa Coffee leads the way in the catering offering.

As K Village is located on the site where the ‘K' Shoe industry began in 1845, a dedicated museum will be an integral part of the Centre.  The Heritage Centre will explore the history of the original shoe-making factory, the lives of its employees and the development of the local community.
