Hotel Franchises

In 2006 CUSP, along with the Kennedy Group operating as Culzean Holdings Ltd, launched ambitious plans to develop and acquire hotels and related leisure facilities in Ireland and the UK. To this end the company has forged strategic partnerships arrangements and agreements with the leading players in the world hospitality sector. A development agreement has been signed with the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) for the exclusive rights to develop Holiday Inn hotels throughout most of Northern Ireland. Already open is a £6.5 million, 90 bedroom Express by Holiday Inn Hotel at Junction One in Antrim with a number of additional sites under consideration for this brand.

Construction has also begun on Northern Ireland’s first Encore by Ramada hotel following an agreement with Ramada Worldwide. This 170 bedroom hotel, representing an investment of £20 million, will form an integral part of the Saint Anne’s Square development in Belfast. Work will soon begin on a four star Holiday Inn hotel comprising 175 bedrooms, conference rooms and an Executive Jet Centre at the George Best Belfast City Airport. Also planned is a 170 bed Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Belfast which will be the first project delivered resulting from the company’s preferential development status in Northern Ireland with the global brand Marriott.

Culzean Holdings Ltd has quickly established itself as the leading hotel development company in Northern Ireland and with a target of delivering 1000 rooms by 2012 its vision is well on track.
